  1. What exactly does TrainStationHR do?

    TrainStationHR is a web based human resources tool that helps a business organize and simplify its employee training and knowledge transfer. Each employee has their own online account where the employer places any piece of information they feel is valuable for the employee to know. The employee’s use of the system is tracked to ensure they are progressing. As well as the core training function, TrainStationHR offers a variety of other optional features to benefit the employer and improve the information sharing and communication standards with their employees.

  2. Who can use it?

    Anybody! But it will be of primary interest to small and medium size organisations who have modest IT and HR departments, if any at all.

  3. How will TrainStationHR benefit my company?

    TrainStationHR offers many benefits including streamlining training and learning within your company, reducing line manager’s HR duties so they can focus on day to day tasks, allows instant access to training records anytime and anywhere, reducing business costs and offering a safe and secure method for storing documents.

  4. Is the content secure?

    All your accounts are stored in the cloud system with top level security for all documentation and information. Please do refer to our terms and conditions for additional information

  5. What if my employees are not computer literate?

    While it is of course aspirational that all employees can access their training documents online, depending of your specific employee group, it may be the case that some employees are not computer literate of do not have access to the internet at home. We do of course recommend that employees in this group are identified and a work station is arranged in the workplace to help them. We also suggest that a ‘buddy’ system could be introduced to help employees who are not computer literate to work through the content of their account. If needs be, certain employees can be authorised as exempt from the system and the HR Manager can arrange for paper copies of relevant documents to be issued to the employee.

  6. Does TrainStationHR make my Organisation fully compliant with Labour/Employment Law?

    No. Employment Legislation is detailed, complicated and requires day to day management in any organization. TrainStationHR does, however, very much aide employers in meeting their legal requirements by facilitating the transfer of vital and required information to employees and tracking this transfer so the employer can prove they have given the employee this information. With paper files, it can be difficult to keep track of who has seen certain policies and who has not. This can lead to problems when an issue occurs.

  7. Should I have an internet access point in my organization for employees to access the system?

    For clients whose employees do not have their own computer workstation, it is always beneficial where possible to have an access point in the workplace for an employee to use the TrainStationHR system. It would be recommended to label this access point as only for the TrainStationHR system. It is possible to restrict the internet access to only allow use of the TrainStationHR site. This is entirely at the discretion of the employer. As the system is designed to simplify the training function, we do encourage employers to simplify things for employees in the most appropriate way.

  8. What if currently do not have many of the policies or training content suggested for use on the system?

    TrainStationHR has an approved list of professional advisers who can assist employers in personalising their policies, procedures and standards at a reasonable cost that offers excellent value for money.     TrainStationHR is committed to evolving and developing its features and benefits to continuously offer the best HR application on the market.     We realise that it can be daunting to review a website and determine that a product is definitely suitable to your needs. We want to ensure that users of TrainStationHR view our product as an integral part of their HR system. We therefore want you to trial it, see the system working and if you then decide to get a business plan, we know you value the system and are comfortable spending your hard earned money on it.

  13. What software do I need to sign up?

    None. As this is a web based application, all you need is internet access. We do recommend you use the system in the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox Browsers.
